Why Charter a Yacht in Komodo?

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site spanning 1,733 km² of marine and terrestrial wilderness. The only way to truly explore it is by private yacht.

🦎 See Komodo Dragons

Witness the world’s largest lizards in their natural habitat on Komodo and Rinca islands. Your private crew arranges guided ranger walks at dawn for the best sightings.

🤿 World-Class Diving

Komodo ranks among the world’s top 10 dive destinations. Manta Point, Batu Bolong, and Castle Rock offer manta rays, sharks, and technicolor coral gardens.

🏖 Deserted Pink Beaches

Pink Beach is one of only seven pink-sand beaches in the world. On a private charter, you arrive before the crowds — often with the entire beach to yourself.

🌅 Complete Privacy

No shared schedules, no strangers. Your yacht, your route, your pace. Anchor in hidden bays, sail to secret snorkeling spots, and wake up to new horizons daily.

Frequently Asked Questions — Komodo Yacht Charter

How much does a Komodo yacht charter cost?

A Komodo yacht charter costs between USD 850 and USD 4,500 per day, all-inclusive. Traditional phinisi start from USD 850/day for up to 8 guests. Luxury phinisi range from USD 1,500–2,000/day. Motor yachts and superyachts start from USD 2,000–2,500/day for groups of 10–20. Charter rates include all meals, fuel, crew, snorkeling/diving gear, and park permits. The total cost for a 4-day Komodo charter for a couple on a luxury phinisi is typically USD 6,000–8,000 all-inclusive.

How many days should I charter a yacht in Komodo?

We recommend a minimum of 4 days for a Komodo yacht charter. This allows time to visit Komodo Island, Rinca Island, Pink Beach, Padar Island, and key dive sites like Manta Point and Batu Bolong. Seven days is ideal if you want to reach more remote sites in East Nusa Tenggara or extend toward Flores and Moyo Island. Shorter 2–3 day charters are possible but you’ll need to prioritize highlights.

Where does the Komodo yacht charter depart from?

All Komodo Luxury charters depart from Labuan Bajo, West Flores, accessible by direct flights from Bali (45 minutes), Jakarta (2 hours), and Lombok. We arrange marina transfers. Some guests join from Lombok or end their charter in Bali — one-way itineraries are available on request.

Can I dive on a Komodo yacht charter without a license?

Yes. Non-divers can snorkel at all the same sites — visibility is so good in Komodo that snorkelers regularly see manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, and vibrant coral. Our crew will guide you to the best snorkel spots even without scuba certification. If you’d like to dive, a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience can be arranged onboard with our certified dive guide. Certified divers with their C-card can dive freely at all Komodo’s legendary sites.

What is the best time of year for a Komodo yacht charter?

The best time for a Komodo yacht charter is April to November, when seas are calmer and visibility peaks at 20–40 meters. Manta rays are present year-round but peak from March to May and October to December. The dry season (June–September) offers the clearest skies for Padar Island hikes and Pink Beach. Komodo can be chartered year-round — our captains know the sheltered anchorages to use during the wet season (December–March).

Is a Komodo National Park permit required for a charter?

Yes. Komodo National Park requires entry permits for all visitors. In 2024, a 3-day permit costs approximately USD 35–50 per person. All Komodo Luxury charters include park permits, ranger guide fees for dragon treks, and vessel entry fees. You pay once — no extra charges at the park gate. We handle all paperwork in advance.
