Komodo’s season runs April to November; Raja Ampat’s is the mirror image, November to April. The two barely overlap, so the high-end fleet repositions twice a year — eastbound around November, westbound around April.

Why are they cheaper?

The yacht has to make the crossing either way. Selling the passage beats steaming empty, so the berth goes below the standard nightly rate with nothing removed from the on-board standard.

When do they run?

Twice a year only — eastbound around November, westbound around April, tracking the season split between Komodo and Raja Ampat.

How long is the passage?

Twelve to fourteen nights. It is a crossing, not a loop, so the daily plan bends to weather windows more than a park itinerary does.

Who should take one?

Seasoned charterers and expedition divers. If this is your first Indonesian charter, the desk will usually point you at Komodo first.
