What a superyacht costs, and what it replaces

USD 15,000 to 35,000 and beyond a night for the whole vessel, all-inclusive. The rate is per vessel, not per person. At that level the vessel stops being transport between islands and becomes the venue — which is why it is the class booked for celebrations and press charters.

What size superyacht suits Komodo?

Twenty-four to forty-nine metres. Beyond that, park anchorages and Labuan Bajo berthing start to dictate the answer more than your party does — ask the desk before you fix on a hull.

What is inside the day rate?

Crew, fuel, all meals and beverages, dive and snorkel equipment, tenders and water toys, and national park permits. Helicopter transfers are quoted separately.

How far ahead should I book?

Six months or more for April–June and September–November. There are few hulls this size in Indonesian waters and they are chartered a season ahead.

Is it right for a family?

It is the class for large family groups — ten to twenty across suites, with crew enough that children and adults can keep different hours without anyone losing a day.
