A one-way passage changes the arithmetic entirely — fuel, repositioning days, and which airport you fly home from. Four crossings, each with its own season and its own reason.

A one-way crossing carries repositioning days the return trip would have absorbed — which raises some quotes and, on the twice-yearly Raja Ampat runs, lowers them sharply. The desk shows you which is which before you pick a direction.

The fleet migrates between Komodo and Raja Ampat twice a year. Because the yacht must make the passage anyway, the berth sells below its usual rate.

Crossing rates are for the whole boat, never per cabin, and shift with vessel class: a phinisi and a superyacht on the same passage are different quotes. Repositioning voyages are the exception — they run below the yacht’s standard rate because the passage happens either way.
Before you pick a direction
Yes, and it is the most booked format. Fly into Bali, board there, fly home from Labuan Bajo — which has direct flights to Bali in 45 minutes, plus Jakarta and Lombok.
Eastbound to Komodo builds toward the dragons and the mantas as a finale. Westbound puts the park first and ends nearer Bali’s flights and villas. Neither costs meaningfully more.
April to November for everything except the repositioning runs, which by definition happen at the season turn — around November eastbound and April westbound.
The yacht has to make the crossing regardless, so the operator sells the passage rather than steaming empty. Same crew, same chef, same all-inclusive standard — different route and rhythm.
