Depart Benoa Harbour in south Bali, sail east through the Lombok Strait, and arrive at Labuan Bajo after roughly 500 nautical miles. Seven days on a fast motor yacht that mostly runs open water; ten to twelve on a phinisi that stops properly.

How long does the sail take?
Seven to twelve days depending on stops and vessel. A fast motor yacht running mostly open ocean does it in seven; a phinisi that explores Lombok, the Gilis and Sumbawa takes ten to twelve. Most guests pick ten.
Where does it depart from?
Benoa Harbour in south Bali, near Nusa Dua — the main marina for private departures. Sanur and Serangan can be arranged. Transfer from your villa or hotel is part of the service.
Is the route safe?
It is a well-established passage sailed year-round. April to November is calmest through the Lombok and Sape straits. Our captains have ten to twenty years on this specific route, and every vessel carries EPIRB, VHF and full safety kit.
Can I fly out of Labuan Bajo instead?
Yes — that is the most booked format. In to Bali (DPS), out of Labuan Bajo (LBJ), which flies direct to Bali in 45 minutes plus Jakarta and Lombok.
