World-Class Snorkeling Without Scuba
Komodo National Park is one of the world’s richest marine ecosystems — and the extraordinary thing is that much of its marine life is accessible at snorkel depth. At Manta Point, manta rays cruise just 2–5 meters below the surface. At Crystal Rock, sea turtles rest on coral heads at 3m depth. At Pink Beach, a coral reef begins just meters from shore. You don’t need scuba to experience Komodo’s underwater world — you need great snorkeling spots, calm water, and a good guide. We provide all three.
All Komodo Luxury snorkeling tours are 100% private — your group, your boat, your guide. Unlike shared tour boats where you enter the water with 20 strangers all churning up sand and scaring the fish, a private snorkel tour means calm, clear water entries, better sightings, and a guide focused entirely on your experience.

FAQ — Komodo Snorkeling Tour
Can non-swimmers snorkel in Komodo?
Yes, with precautions. We provide life jackets and flotation vests for guests who are weak swimmers or non-swimmers. Your guide stays in the water with you at all times. Most Komodo snorkel sites have calm, protected water — Manta Point, Crystal Rock, and Kanawa are all suitable for weak swimmers with a life jacket. We always assess conditions on the day and choose appropriate sites for every guest’s comfort level.
What marine life can I see snorkeling in Komodo?
Komodo snorkelers regularly see: oceanic manta rays (at Manta Point, year-round), sea turtles (at Siaba Besar and Crystal Rock), reef sharks (whitetip and blacktip, at Pink Beach and Batu Bolong shallows), dolphins (in the Komodo Strait), clownfish in anemones, parrotfish, triggerfish, sea horses (at Cannibal Rock shallows), and vibrant coral gardens with hundreds of reef fish species. Visibility is typically 15–35m.
Is snorkeling in Komodo safe?
Yes — snorkeling in Komodo is safe with a qualified guide. The main considerations are currents (Komodo is famous for strong currents) and marine life etiquette. Our private guides assess currents at every site before entry and always choose sites appropriate for conditions on the day. We never enter high-current sites with snorkelers. Life jackets are available for all guests. In 10+ years of operation, no snorkeling incidents have occurred on our guided tours.
