Say “I Do” at Sea — Aboard a Private Luxury Phinisi in Komodo
A wedding aboard a luxury phinisi in the Komodo National Park is arguably the most extraordinary venue on earth. The backdrop: volcanic islands, pristine turquoise waters, and the most cinematic sunset on the planet. The vessel: a hand-crafted traditional Bugis sailing ship, transformed into a floating luxury wedding venue with floral arbors, fine linen, and candlelight. Your ceremony officiant, your wedding photographer, your private chef and sommelier — all part of your intimate luxury wedding at sea.

Why a Komodo Yacht Wedding is Extraordinary
The wedding industry has become highly commoditized — the same venues, the same packages, the same photographs that look exactly like everyone else’s. A Komodo yacht wedding is entirely different. It is, by definition, one-of-a-kind. No two Komodo sunsets are the same. No two phinisi ceremony setups are identical. And the photographs — framed against Padar Island’s ancient volcanic silhouette with the Flores Sea glittering gold — are genuinely unlike any wedding photos on earth.
Our Komodo wedding yacht packages range from intimate elopements (just the two of you, the captain, the officiant, and a photographer) to full destination weddings with up to 40 guests aboard our larger vessels. In all cases, the service is impeccably personal. Our wedding coordinator works with you months in advance to plan every element: the floral arbor design, the ceremony script, the menu, the entertainment, the photography brief, and the honeymoon suite cabin.
After the ceremony, your wedding cruise continues into the Komodo archipelago — snorkeling at Pink Beach, a Padar Island hike, Champagne sunsets, gourmet dinners under the stars. The wedding and the honeymoon seamlessly merge into one extraordinary journey.

Komodo Wedding Yacht FAQ
Q: Is a marriage ceremony on a yacht in Komodo legally binding?
A: A yacht ceremony in international or Indonesian waters can be a beautiful symbolic ceremony. For a legally recognized marriage in Indonesia, a civil or religious ceremony must be conducted through Indonesian legal authorities. Many couples choose to complete the legal formalities in their home country, then celebrate with a symbolic ceremony at sea in Komodo — which is often the more meaningful and memorable event.
Q: How many guests can attend a yacht wedding in Komodo?
A: Our standard phinisi vessels accommodate up to 20 guests comfortably for a ceremony. For larger weddings (20–40 guests), we can arrange our larger superyacht or operate two vessels side-by-side with guests moving between them by tender. Our largest arrangement has hosted 60 guests across three vessels for a multi-day wedding cruise.
Q: What wedding services do you arrange?
A: We coordinate: licensed ceremony officiant, professional wedding photographer and videographer, floral arch and ceremony decoration, fresh flower arrangements, wedding cake, gourmet wedding dinner, Champagne and full bar service, sound system and music, hair and makeup artist (via referral), and honeymoon cabin preparation.
Q: When is the best time to have a Komodo yacht wedding?
A: May through September offers the clearest skies and calmest seas — ideal for ceremonies. April and October are beautiful shoulder months. The dry season guarantees the most dramatic sunsets. We advise against December–February for ocean ceremonies due to the swell season, though sheltered bay locations remain viable year-round.
