What the grand voyage actually is
An expedition-class passage, not a longer holiday. After Komodo in full you continue east into the Alor archipelago — traditional Lamalera whaling communities, volcanic hot springs, untouched reef, and pelagics including hammerheads, whale sharks and large manta aggregations.

This is a passage, not a loop. Weather windows govern the eastern crossing, so the day-by-day is a plan rather than a promise — the captain will say so before you leave.

Who is the twelve-day voyage for?
Divers and travellers who have already done Komodo, or who want the passage itself as much as the destinations. It is expedition travel with a chef aboard, not a longer holiday.
How much does it cost?
From USD 5,300 per yacht per night for an entry-luxury phinisi taking six to ten guests — this is a eleven-night itinerary — rising to USD 6,400 for a larger hull and USD 35,000 and beyond on the ultra-luxury flagships. Rates are per vessel, not per person, so the economics improve sharply with group size. The desk quotes the exact total against your dates and party.
How far ahead must I book?
A season. There are few hulls willing to make the eastern passage and their calendars fill early.
Can we finish somewhere other than Labuan Bajo?
Often yes, and it changes the routing considerably. Raise it in the first message — one-way repositioning is quoted separately.
