Photography Charter

Extra time at the locations that need it.

A charter built around light rather than around a schedule. Padar before sunrise, pink sand at golden hour, and the anchorage held while you finish the shot.

  • April–November for clear light Best season
  • Amateur through professional Suits
  • Extended stops at prime locations Time to allow
  • Included In the charter rate

The short answer

What photography charter actually involves

Padar sunrise, pink sand at golden hour, dragons, underwater macro. Suits amateur through professional. Season: April–November for clear light; May–September for underwater visibility. Equipment: underwater housings, drone with permits, tripods and an editing station.

What makes it work

Three things that decide it

01

The yacht is positioned for you

The crew moves the vessel for the light rather than the itinerary. That is the difference between a charter and a tour.

02

Drone flown on permits

Drone work inside the park is permitted, not assumed. The desk arranges it in advance rather than at the gate.

03

Edit aboard

An editing station means you review and cull the same evening, and know what still needs shooting tomorrow.

Inside the rate

What the day rate already covers

  • Fully crewed private charter
  • All meals and beverages
  • Specialist guide where the activity needs one
  • Equipment listed above
  • Komodo National Park permits
  • Timing planned around tide, light and the day boats

A private charter sets its own hours. Day boats run to a fixed schedule; you do not — which is usually the difference between doing this well and doing it in a queue. Specific inclusions depend on the yacht selected, our charter desk will confirm the full list for your chosen vessel.

Before you commit

Four questions the desk gets weekly

Can I fly a drone in the park?

With permits, which the desk arranges before you sail. Flying without them risks confiscation and a fine.

What underwater gear is available?

Housings are aboard. Bring your own body and lenses; tell the desk the model so the housing matches.

Which locations need the most time?

Padar at first light and Pink Beach at golden hour. Both are ruined by arriving with the day boats.

Is there somewhere to edit?

Yes — an editing station is set up aboard, with power and space to work between sessions.

Build it into the charter

Tell the desk this is the priority and how many days you have. The route is planned around it, and the written quote comes back the same day.
